The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge went on sale today (March 11th), with prices starting from a shade under £35 per month for contract deals that include a free phone.

Pick up the standard version of the handset on Vodafone from mobilephonesdirect.co.uk and you’ll pay £34 per month over a two-year contract term, with no upfront free. That gets you the 32GB edition of the S7, as well as 2GB of data per month and unlimited calls and texts.

Need more data? The same retailer is touting the handset on EE with monthly allowances of 5GB and unlimited texts and calls for £37.49 per month. That’s also over a 24-month contract term.

If it’s the Edge you’re eyeing, our pick of the deals up for grabs today is probably from thesmartphonecompany.co.uk. Priced £39.99 per month, this includes 4GB of data per month, plus unlimited calls and texts.

Ambitiously touted as the handsets that ‘redefine what a phone can do’, the Galaxy S7 and its Edge variant feature a premium metal exterior, a 12-megapixel camera and are dust and water-resistant.
The chief difference between the phones is the screen. While the standard S7’s display comes in at 5.1-inches, the Edge houses a 5.7-inch screen with a secondary ‘edged’ display at the side.
